Welcome to | THE WRITTEN WOR[L]D | !
| THE WRITTEN WOR[L]D | is a publication aiming to educate readers on current affairs by providing a deeper insight into each event. The publication will be divided into two sections, Articles and Blog, and will each feature current and relevant topics, as well as personal matters of interest.
Articles
This section will feature long-form feature stories about a topic that is current and relevant. Each feature will focus on the event's past (background, history, origin), present (ongoing developments), and future (what happens next, impact, consequences). The focus of each article will vary; the topic of choice can include humanitarian crises, military developments, and international conflicts, or may highlight any pertinent news of interest of the author. All articles will nevertheless cover a recent or current news item, and will cover some contextual information to better understand what's happening. Each article will contain 4 sections:
-
News Highlight of the Month,
-
Main Article,
-
Featured Infographic,
-
Further Reading,
and will feature images and pictures to visually construct the reader's understanding.
You can find these articles in the Articles section.
Blog
This section will cover shorter-length pieces, and include a wide variety of subjects, ranging from military spotlights to true crime stories. You can find these articles in the Blog section.
Regardless of what the topic is, it is my hope that you, the reader, will enjoy this informative and insightful read into our world's current events, pressing matters, and points of interest. Each long-form feature or short-form blog piece is meant to begin your journey in search of more knowledge, so if what I write interests you, don't stop at the end of the article - do explore the links included for further reading and let your learning journey continue. I wish you a pleasant read, and a wondrous world of knowledge ahead.
Love,

Meet the Author

Keisha Wee
I would like to be able to fight and be the voice for the disempowered, unheard, and forgotten. It is my dream to work for humanity in any form; be it as a war correspondent, a human rights activist, or a conflict peacebuilder. I am passionate about volunteering to serve my community, and am always on the lookout for ways to be of service and assistance to the underprivileged.
My hobbies include reading espionage thrillers, watching war/history movies, and learning and writing about current events. I also enjoy learning languages, understanding the past, present, and future, and trying new things. I have great interest in the subjects of war, history, and the military, and love learning about operations and defensive security measures that countries employ.
